Variable Rate Loan |
This is the more popular loan for home borrowers. It is a loan where the interest rate goes up and down depending on market movements. |
Fixed Rate Loan |
The interest on this loan is set or fixed for a period of time from 1 to 5 years. The loan repayments do not change during the chosen fixed period. |
Interest Only Loans |
This loan is popular with investors who do not wish to repay the loan principal for a period of time. The available interest only period is normally 5 years but some lenders extend to 10 years. |
Line of Credit |
This loan comes with a set credit limit allowing borrowers to draw on the funds as required. As funds are paid into the loan they can be redrawn again up to the loan limit. |
Non Conforming Loan |
This loan is for borrowers with credit blemishes or other type of credit situations that sits outside traditional bank policy. An interest rate premium is paid for these loans. |
Low Doc Loan |
This loan is for self employed borrowers that do not have their tax returns up to date but have other means to demonstrate income. |
Bridging Loan |
This loan is for borrowers looking to buy a property prior to selling an existing one. The lender will loan a higher amount on the condition of future sale of the existing property. |
Construction Loan |
This loan is borrowers looking to construct or renovate a home or investment property. The loan amount is drawn progressively as the dwelling is built |
